The client’s goals were the catalyst for the original strategy and recommendations. However, they can change as the client’s circumstances change.

Clients may have changed jobs and incurred either a reduction or an increase in income. Their marital status may have changed. Their feelings about their strategy may have changed. Other things about their circumstances may have changed.

The process of gathering this information can be as simple as an email to the client asking them about any of these changes and following with a meeting and/or to invite them to meet to assess their current situation and to discuss the implications of any changes.
