A mortgage broker is a person or company who sources finance for you from more than one lender. When it comes to home or investment loans, they are paid a commission from the lender, and that commission is not passed on to you as extra costs.
Essentially, a mortgage broker will have access to a wide range of home loans from a wide range of lenders, and the aim of the broker is to secure the best loan for your circumstances at the best price.
A mortgage broker can also help investors with paperwork and other tasks involved in securing finance.
You should be aware that not all mortgage brokers also understand the best structure for your loan and this job should be done by an accountant who knows your circumstances. In addition, only mortgage brokers who are QPIA’s can provide advice about the suitability of an investment property to you.
