The Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA) has partnered with Momentum Media as the official association partner of the Australian Buyers Agent Awards, recognising the critical role buyers’ agents now play in shaping fairer, more transparent property outcomes for Australians.
PIPA Chair Cate Bakos says the partnership reflects how far the profession has come since the association was founded more than two decades ago.
“When PIPA was first established in 2005, buyers’ agents were a niche part of the property sector. Today, they represent a significant proportion of transactions, which is helping to improve outcomes for homebuyers and investors every day of the week,” Ms Bakos says.
She says supporting the awards aligns directly with PIPA’s founding purpose.
“PIPA was established by industry practitioners more than 20 years ago with an objective of raising the professional standards of all operators involved in the property investment advice sector. Supporting the Australian Buyers Agent Awards ensures the association is continuing to promote best practice and professionalism for all practitioners,” she says.
Ms Bakos says the awards program is not only a celebration of excellence but also an important moment of reflection for entrants.
“Becoming a finalist in these awards is not only a reflection of a buyers’ agent’s commitment to professionalism, but the nomination process also enables practitioners to take a moment to reflect on their business practices over the past year – which can set them up for more professional success in the future,” she says.
“Lastly, but importantly, the opportunity to meet, network and celebrate with like‑minded industry professionals is enormously valuable for this niche cohort of real estate agents.”
